The Ocean View was
funded in the 1970's
and it shows. It's
very comfortable and
very cheap. Other
guesthouses will
bargain, the Ocean
View won't. The
Lonely Planet and
Rough Guide word for
it, owner Mark is a
gem. He will pick
you up at the
airport and will
help you with
everything
imaginable. He even
offers you his adsl
WiFi for free if you
bring your own
laptop. It's located
in the beach region
of Negombo, meaning
everything in the
shops and
restaurants
surrounding it is
twice the price of
Negombo town.
Opposite the Ocean
View the tuktuk
drivers gather, so
you never have to
walk.

Very good price for
such clean, friendly
and quiet place. No
smelt! The bed is
good, hot water -
well enough to wash
enjoying it without
hurry to give a rest
for another person.
they didn't take
additional money for
our son 11 y.o., we
paid just for 2
adults. And plus
free wi-fi Internet.

As i found sri lanka
in general the
people are warm and
friendly and nowhere
more so than at the
ocean view
guesthouse.The
location is great
only 50 yards from a
stunning beach, it
is also very
clean.From the owner
downwards the staff
are brilliant.I
recommend to anyone
wether family or a
lone traveller like
myself.

Thank You Sunil, You
are a kind,funny and
safe driver and you
have really looked
sfter us on our tour
of Sri Lanka. All
your funny stories
and knowledge of the
country. made the
long journeys fly
by. It is such a
shame that we have
to go sooner than
expected,but
hopefully we will be
back!
We highly
recommend you.

Mark is a nice guy
easy to deal
with.
Surprisinly he was
without doubt the
best deal on a 6 day
trip i booked.
The major thing
for me is that he
has WI FI and not
may places have
this. Doeas save so
much time running
around places to get
in touch back
home.
Also
safety was a main
concern for me, and
he has honest
staff.
Overall
my experiance was
good and i would say
giv this chap a
chance you will not
be let down,
let mark do your
coffee in the
morning the other
chap leaves a lot of
grit in the cup, i
say this in the
nicest way. brian

Dear Mark,
Thank you for
organising a day
trip to Colombo for
me. I was able to
get the inflight
magazines that i
want from Deccan
Aviation Lanka,
Maldivian and Air
Arabia. Thank you
for your staff for
telling me aspects
of Colombo that i do
not know. I also
enjoy the fish
dinner at your
guesthouse. I will
post pictures of my
Negombo-Colombo
trips on my web-site
in January and
inform you about the
pictures once they
are ready.
Will stay in your
guesthouse's air-con
room if i plan to
come to Sri Lanka
again. Your staff
are friendly,
cooperative and
kind.
