Day 1 Negombo – Anuradhapura

Day 2 Anuradhapura – Polonnaruwa

Mihintale (the place where Buddhism was brought to Sri Lanka 3rd Century, BC), ancient hospital, refectory hall, Singha Pokuna, Naga Pokuna, Ambastale, Mihindu Cave, Avukana (the highest Buddha statue of 13m in one piece of granite). Overnight stay in Giritale

Day 3 Polonnaruwa – Sigiriya
Start: 8:00 am
Polonnaruwa ancient city, Great Parakrama Samudra, statue of King Parakrama, museum, royal palace, Kumara Pokuna, council chamber, Shiva temple, Thuparama, Vatadage, Hetadage, Atadage, wood carving factory, rice mill,
option of:
Elephant ride in the jungle, jeep safari or Ayurvedic massage in Habarana (depending on time).

Day 4 Sigiriya – Kandy
Start: 7:00 am
Climb Sigiriya rock fortress (5th century AD) and back for breakfast. Dambulla Cave Temple (22,000 sq. feet of ceiling paintings), Nalande Gedige (Geographical centre of Sri Lanka), spice gardens in Matale, Aluvihare Temple (where Buddhim was put into book form in the 1st century BC) and proceed to Kandy and drop you off at the hotel..
